In order to figure out if a boudoir shoot is right for you, it’s important to have a good understanding of what boudoir photography is all about. There’s a misconception that a boudoir shoot requires you to be naked which is not necessarily true. How much you wear is completely up to you. I can make you look sexy in everyday clothes or nothing at all. Sexy is a mindset not about what you wear… or don’t wear. What I’d like to do is share with you some ideas to make your session the most memorable and get the best results.
Find The Right Photographer | I really hope you like what I offer and my photographic style. Chances are if you’re reading this, you probably do like the look of the images I create. That being said, your comfort level is really important to me which is why I always welcome people into my studio to meet me and see my studio. Provocateur Images brings all the elements of very feminine boudoir looks with an eye for what a guy finds sexy which gives us a unique advantage in pleasing both your expectations and what your significant other will find sexy.
Communicate What You Want | A large part of the boudoir process is communication. Chances are you have an idea on makeup or a concept. All you have to do is tell me what you like and I can make it happen within the limits of my own style. You can always share photos with me to give me an idea of what you’re looking for. Bottom line is, just ask!
What To Wear Or Not Wear | Wardrobe can be the make or break element to a boudoir session. There are so many things you can wear. This is why I do a wardrobe consult with my clients beforehand. When you sign on, you’ll be provided with a style guide but you can also have a look at my style board on my Pinterest Page that describes what looks good for different body types. Most importantly though, when choosing wardrobe, think about what makes you feel comfortable. Also think about your partner finds the most arousing because if you’re doing this as a gift you may want to work in a look they find sexy too.
Bring Some Music | Make a playlist for your session. It really helps you get into the swing of things and get in the right mood. This is possibly the one thing that can make your session most memorable as you rock some super sexy poses to some great tunes. Just try to keep it upbeat and have about 3 hours of music so you can listen while you are getting your hair and makeup done too.
Practice | Before your session you will receive our prep guide to help you get yourself ready. But if you’re feeling up to it, get in front of a mirror and practice your sultry look and playful look. Don’t worry during your session we’ll offer tons of guidance when it comes to posing and expression too but it never hurts to have a bit of extra prep before the shoot.
And that’s it… There are they key things you need to do to have a great boudoir session.
